College accommodation

The majority of accommodation is on site with 104 en-suite bed-sitting rooms in the Founder's Building and the Gateway Building. Further rooms are located on site, or very close-by, in converted Victorian houses with communal kitchens and bathrooms; some of these rooms have washbasins. All rooms are furnished to a high standard; the average room includes: a single bed with mattress cover, duvet and pillows (students provide their own linen, but please let us know in advance if you would like a bedding pack to be supplied - sheets, pillow cases and duvet cover - at a charge of £15), desk and chair, easy chair, small table, book shelving, desk light and wardrobe space

The kitchens have cupboard space for students to store food etc; the College provides pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. You may wish to bring your own utensils but remember that storage space is limited! Fridges, freezers, a microwave, kettle and toaster are also provided in the kitchen of each house or accommodation block.

Any maintenance problems within College Accommodation should be reported in the Maintenance Book which is kept at the Lodge, or using the online form (College network only).

The rooms on site have Ethernet connection.

During the academic year 2013/14, construction of an extension to the College's Middle East Centre - designed by renowned international architect, Zaha Hadid - will be taking place, and we expect this to result in intermittent, background, associated construction noise throughout the College site, the level and impact of which the College is taking every possible step to reduce.

The rooms vary in size and this is reflected in the weekly rent.

Views of typical rooms may be seen by clicking the appropriate Room Grade. Please note that all views show rooms complete with bedding, but this should be be provided (apart from the duvet and pillow) by the individual tenant, unless a bedding pack has been requested. Bedding packs, if requested, may vary in colour from photographs shown

The College also has a limited number of flats. These are fully furnished to a high standard and current weekly rents (students' rates) are between £262.36 and £404.53 per flat per week.
