Chrystia Freeland appointed Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister

Chrystia Freeland (MSt Slavonic Studies, 1993) has been sworn-in as Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister. Ms Freeland has been promoted from International Trade Minister, a post held from November 2015 until this month, where she recently was involved in negotiations around the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
