Dahrendorf & Deakin Projector Cabinet Instructions

These instructions are on a laminated sheet on top of the AV cabinet, but to print your own copy, please use the "print this page" at the bottom for best results. The manual for the Hitachi projectors is also available to download. The laptops both have Windows 7, Office 2010 and Adobe Reader 10 installed. They have DVD drives and there is also a dedicated DVD video player in the cabinet.

Unlock the cabinet (keys on the room sets available from the Lodge)

Find white mains cable...

...and connect it to floor box outlet

Slide out projector shelf and set laptop on top of cabinet

Turn on projector by pressing “standby/on” once

 amplifier

If sound is required, turn on amp (bottom shelf)

Select “PC” as the input source

Connect grey mini-jack to laptop sound-out port (on front of laptop, marked with a headphone icon)

If computer image is not displayed on projector, press Fn-F5 to cycle between display options

The correct setting is LCD+CRT, which will display the same image on the laptop and projector screens

Please switch off the projector after use: (i) Press the STANDBY/ON button, the message “Power off?” will appear on the screen for about 5 seconds

(ii) Press the STANDBY/ON button again while the message appears.The projector lamp will go off, and the POWER indicator will begin blinking orange
