Tariq Ramadan will be giving a lecture at UCL, followed by Q&A session, on the current political developments in the Middle East, covering the relationship between the West and Islam, the consequences of past interventions, the prevalence of authoritarianism in the Middle East, discussing the possibilities of the future for the Muslim societies, and ultimately, attempting to answer the question whether the process of democratisation in the Middle East is implausible or inevitable.
