Advice and guidance on making a strong application, applying for funding, and what it's really like to be a doctoral student at St Antony's. This very popular seminar, now in its third year, is aimed at St Antony's Master's students but all are welcome. The seminar will be followed by a drinks reception.

  • Introduction: Emma Sabzalieva, College Registrar, and Abhijit Sarker, GCR VP (Academic) and DPhil Oriental Studies.
  • Making a strong DPhil application: Professor Nandini Gooptu, Associate Professor of South Asian Studies and Head of the Department of International Development
  • Funding your DPhil: Dr Fiona Groenhout, Graduate Access Manager, Graduate Admissions and Funding 
  • Doing a DPhil - a supervisor's perspective: Dr Eugene Rogan, Associate Professor of the Modern History of the Middle East and Fellow at St Antony's College
  • Being a DPhil student at St Antony's: Andy Cunningham, DPhil Education; Densua Mumford, DPhil International Relations; Jason Robinson, DPhil History.
