Introduction:

A minor structured notes dispute led sign-board worker, Chien Ming-fu to lose 2.5 million dollars, his life savings. Chien sought help from a public interest lawyer, Yeh Yuan-da, and decided to sue his Financial Adviser and the bank. Yeh was put in an awkward situation for his ex-wife was the bank’s chief legal representative. If he decided to take the case, he would confront her in court. On the other hand, Chien insisted on getting all his money back. Yeh understood the possibility of winning the case was small.

As the case developed, it seemed to tell us in the money pursuing world in this era, nobody’s a winner while fighting against the system.
