St Antony's College and the College's Research Centres offer a range of scholarships for new graduates every year. Scholarships available for students starting in 2017/18 are listed below.

Overview of funding opportunities for St Antony's applicants

In addition to College funding, applicants are advised that many of the University of Oxford's scholarship schemes are tenable at St Antony's College. The University's Fees and Funding website has full information about these funding opportunities.

St Antony's students are often successful in the following major scholarship competitions: Economic and Social Research Council StudentshipsClarendon Fund ScholarshipsRhodes Scholarships and the Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme.

Applicants must apply by the University's January application deadline to be considered for both College and University scholarships. We encourage you to apply to as many scholarships as you are eligible for to maximise your chances of receiving a funded place at Oxford.

College scholarships

Eni Scholarship: For students from Angola, Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria, and the Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville). Fully funded. Three scholarships available.

Jusoor Scholarship: For students from Syria. Fully funded. One scholarship available. 

Swire Scholarships at St Antony's College: For students from China, Hong Kong and Japan for all full-time Master’s and DPhil courses offered by the College excluding the MBA and the MPP. Fully funded. Four scholarships available.

Swire / Oxford and Cambridge Society of Kenya Scholarship: For students from Kenya for all full-time one year Master's courses offered by the College. £30,000. One scholarship available.

Research Centre and other scholarships

CAF Scholarships. For permanent residents and nationals of the following CAF shareholder countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay or Venezuela. For the MSc Latin American Studies. Covers tuition and college fees. Only tenable at St Antony's College. Awarded by the Latin American Centre.

Ronaldo Falconer Scholarship: For residents of Costa Rica. For the MSc in Latin American Studies. Worth £9,000. Awarded by the Latin American Centre.

Argentine Studies Fund Scholarship: For residents of Argentina. For the MSc or MPhil in Latin American Studies. Worth £5,000. Awarded by the Latin American Centre.

Nissan Institute Scholarships: For the MSc or MPhil in Japanese Studies. Worth £10,000 (for UK/EU students) or £20,000 (for overseas students). Two scholarships available. Awarded by the Nissan Institute. 

Scott Family Scholarship: For the MSc or MPhil in Japanese Studies. Worth £9,000. The candidate's Oxford College will be St Antony's and special consideration will be given to a student with a disability.

Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme: St Antony's College is an approved provider on the Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme, a Ministry of Defence lifelong learning initiative for members of the UK armed forces. Grants of up to 80% of the fees to a maximum of £1,000 or £2,000 (depending on length of service) are available for up to three years. The College's learning provider number is 6546. Please visit the ELC website for full eligibility and application details.
