Modern Burmese Studies Grants

The Programme on Modern Burmese Studies at St Antony’s College is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications to support travel for field work or conference presentations in Myanmar or related to Burmese Studies. The fund will support work taking place during the remainder of calendar year 2015 up to a maximum of £600.

 

Eligible expenses include transportation, accommodation, conference fees, or other costs directly related to research. Successful applicants will be required to submit receipts for all expenses, to be reimbursed after the travel or research has been completed. Any students or faculty at the University of Oxford are eligible to apply for funding, although the research or travel must take place while employed by the University or enrolled in a degree programme.

 

A full application must include the attached form and a current CV. Please list only the name and email of an academic reference; a letter is not required. Applications should be emailed to Sarah Baldwin, Asian Studies Centre Administrator at asian@sant.ox.ac.uk by 5pm on Friday, 12 June, 2015. Successful applicants will be notified by 19 June, 2015. Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
