North Oxford Shared College Services (NOSCS) wishes to appoint an experienced ICT professional to join a dynamic, forward-thinking team in a challenging and rewarding educational environment. NOSCS was created between St Antony’s College, St Hugh’s College and Lady Margaret Hall in October 2017 to improve the range and depth of our ICT support services, value for money, job design and career progression for staff, and to provide cover.
Reporting to the Head of ICT in NOSCS, the ICT Manager will be based in St Antony’s College, managing and delivering ICT services to the College. The post-holder will assist the Head of ICT in ensuring that the College’s ICT infrastructure and its front-line ICT services procedures meet the needs of the college, as well as managing the delivery and enforcement of all the College’s ICT related policies.
As part of NOSCS, the post-holder will contribute directly to an improved range and depth of ICT support services for all three Oxford colleges. The ICT Managers in each college are being supported to develop their skills and careers in some specialist areas, and will work on relevant projects to develop these areas in all three colleges. This post-holder will ideally have strong skills in server and database management, and wish to develop these further.
The ideal candidate will have experience of managing and developing a wide range of ICT services (both front and back of house operations), with associated responsibilities for resources and budgets, and some experience of managing staff. You will also have skills, experience and a developing interest in server and database management.
The closing date for applications is 27 November 2017 and interviews will be held on 5 December 2017.
