Dr Huaigao Qi
QI Huaigao is an Associate Professor of Institute of International Studies (IIS) at Fudan University and Deputy Director of the Center for China’s Relations with Neighboring Countries (CCRNC) at Fudan University. Dr. Qi has been a Rajawali Fellow at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation of John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University from January-December 2013. Prior to joining the Faculty of Fudan University, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in political science at Fudan University’s School of International Relations and Public Affairs (SIRPA) from July 2008 to September 2010. QI Huaigao received his Ph. D. in World History at Wuhan University in June 2007.
His major research areas are China's neighboring diplomacy, China's ocean affairs, Asia Pacific international relations, international organization and global governance.
As an Academic Visitor (Swire Scholarship) at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford from October 2017 to September 2018, Dr. QI plans to conduct a research project titled “the European Coal and Steel Community and the enlightenment to the joint exploitation in the South China Sea.”
