Freedom of InformationThe Freedom of Information Act 2000 provides a right of access to information held by public authorities and sets out exemptions to that right of access. From 1 January 2005, any person or body who makes a request in writing to a public authority (which includes the Oxford colleges) for access to recorded information must be informed whether the public authority holds that information and be supplied with it, subject to the application of various exemptions specified within the Act and a possible fee. The public authority must normally respond within 20 working days of the receipt of the request. The College proactively publishes a wide range of information. In addition, early in 2004 it set up its publication scheme under the Act. If you would like further details, or wish to request specific information under the Act, please contact the Bursar, St Antony's College, Oxford OX2 6JF. |
