The study of Japan at Oxford University started in St Antony’s college in the 1950s and the Nissan Institute of Japanese Studies was established here in 1981, making it the sixth oldest of the colleges seven centres.
We are located in the grounds of St. Antony's and consists of offices for staff and academic visitors, teaching rooms and a 150 seat lecture theatre.
