                                        Evan and Peggy Anderson Best Paper Prize in Russian and Eurasian Studies

                The Russian and Eurasian Centre is pleased to announce a best paper prize in Russian and Eurasian Studies. The purpose of the prize is to encourage, recognize and reward scholarly achievement. The prize will be awarded for the best paper published or accepted for publication by a peer reviewed journal in the fields of:  Russian and Eurasian economics, politics, other fields of social sciences or history. It may include essays that have been accepted for publication in a collection or volume of research papers.
 
                Applicants must be current postgraduate students at St. Antony’s college enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Oxford, or recent D. Phil. graduates. The latter must have completed their degree no more than two years prior to the deadline date for paper submissions. All submissions must have been published or accepted unconditionally for publication. The name of the journal and its editor are to be included with submissions.
 
                All papers along with author contact information must be submitted to the Director, Russian and Eurasian Centre (paul.chaisty@sant.ox.ac.uk) no later than the first day of Hilary term as a PDF file or email attachment.
 
The winner will be announced no later than Friday of the second week of Trinity term and will receive an award of ₤350.
             

DOCTORAL STUDENT BURSARIES

The Fay and Geoffrey Elliott Bursary Fund and the Archie Brown Bursary Fund

The Russian and Eurasian Studies Centre offers annual bursaries from the Fay and Geoffrey Elliot and the Archie Brown Funds to advanced doctoral students of St Antony's College working on subjects in the field of Russian and Eurasian studies. Bursaries for 2012/13 will be advertised in the early summer of 2012 on this site and by e-mail to doctoral students in the field.
