Margaret MacMillan commended in Canada

Professor Margaret MacMillan, current Warden of St Antony's College, has been recognised in Canada with two prestigious awards.

First, Prof. MacMillan has been recognised by the Public Policy Forum as an honouree for outstanding work as a Canadian who has gone abroad to improve the world using public policy. This will be the 30th Anniversary of the Awards, and Canada’s 150th Anniversary. The Testimonial Dinner will be hosted by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on April 20.

Additionally, the University of Toronto has awarded her one of 16 Honorary Degrees in recognition for her work as a historian and as a public intellectual. “The University of Toronto is proud to honour this diverse group of truly extraordinary leaders,” said President Meric Gertler. “They have demonstrated excellence and tenacity in their fields, from music to law, business to health care, science to journalism, and will be an inspiring reminder to our graduates and all in attendance of the power of individuals to create real, meaningful change.”
