35 hours per week any five days out of seven including evenings and weekends (or any 6 days out of 7 during particularly busy periods) Overtime available
St Antony’s College has an exciting opportunity for a Stewarding Assistant to work as part of the busy Front of House team in the dining hall.

The Stewarding Assistant provides a professional and efficient food and drinks service for College dinners, meetings, conferences and events. The role includes cleaning, setting up food and beverage areas, and serving food and drinks to students, Fellows, staff and guests. The College organises a variety of formal dinners (High tables), dinners for the Research Centres, and student formal dinners. They may supervise the Hall at these dinners and occasionally run the Front of House service at small events. They assist in all aspects of the Stewarding department including covering areas such as Till Operator and Hall Cleaner.
St Antony's College is one of the seven graduate colleges of the University of Oxford. The College specialises in the interdisciplinary study of international relations, economics, politics and history of particular parts of the world, and has between 450 and 550 postgraduate students. It provides an informal and multi-cultural environment for advanced research and post-graduate education and has become a leading centre for international studies. St Antony’s College, Oxford is just a 10-minute walk from the city centre, and is close to the University Parks, Port Meadow, Jericho and Summertown.
The successful candidate will be a reliable team player with previous experience of working in a customer service front of house role. They will have good communication skills, an enthusiastic approach to work and able to work on their own initiative. They will also have a flexible approach to the varied duties and demands of the role (available to work days,evenings and weekends) as well as an excellent understanding of food hygiene and relevant health and safety regulations. Supervisory experience in a catering role would be desirable.
