A brave team of six Antonians - academics, Alumni, current students and staff - will run on 21 June a local 10K race in Oxford.
Professor Matteo Legrenzi, Ms Monica Esposito, Professor Paul Betts, Dr Philip Robins, Professor Roger Goodman and Mr Sebastian Levi will take part in the Run Jericho 10k race on Sunday 21 June, with the aim of raising money for the Antonian Fund. It’s a challenging distance and, as you can imagine, they are all training very hard in preparation for the event!
If you live in the UK, you can sponsor the team by texting SANT15, followed by the amount you wish to donate, to 70070. As an example, to donate £10, you would text the following to 70070: SANT15 £10. You can donate max. £10 at a time and up to £30 a day. The network provider won’t charge you for the SMS you send to make the donation.
If you don’t live in the UK or would like to make a donation over £30 a day, please visit the Oxford University Giving Page. If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to declare Gift Aid (instructions will be provided) as this will increase the donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
All donations to sponsor this race will benefit the Antonian Fund, which promotes academic and student initiatives at St Antony’s College. While St Antony’s is one of the poorer Colleges of the University of Oxford, we want to make it possible for the best students from any country or background to study here, regardless of their means, and to enable them to carry out field work and present papers at conferences throughout the world. We also aim to support the many academic initiatives of our Fellows and students at the College as well as those activities, such as sport or concerts, which add so much to life here. Every gift makes a real difference to St Antony’s, and the cumulative impact of many donations to the Fund will be felt by students across the College.
Here you can find more information about the Antonian Fund and the projects that have been supported in the past.
Many thanks for all the support that you will be able to give. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contactmonica.esposito@sant.ox.ac.uk
