Brian DeLay is Associate Professor of History at the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include the United States and the world, the Americas in the 19th century, transnational history, the US-Mexico borderlands, indigenous peoples, and the international arms trade.
He is the author of War of a Thousand Deserts: Indian Raids and the U.S.-Mexican War and "How Not to Arm a State: American Guns and the Crisis of Governance in Mexico," among other works.
