The Singing Revolution: film-screening and post-film discussion
The Singing Revolution: film-screening and post-film discussion
The Singing Revolution was Estonia’s dramatic, non-violent struggle for independence from the USSR. Hundreds of thousands gathered in public to sing forbidden patriotic songs and to cheer demands for liberty. This moving film documents how a people helped topple an empire while singing their way to freedom.
The screening will be followed by a roundtable discussion.
