TWENTY YEARS AFTER NAFTA: Integration, Identity, and Regionalism In North America. Part I: Business and Official Perspectives
A conference to mark the 20th anniversary of the North American Free Trade Agreement was held, in two parts, on 10 and 28 November 2014. This conference examined the impact of NAFTA on the North American region two decades after the agreement came into force, assessing what the pact has meant for business, the depth of its economic impact, its effects on the international relations of the region, and the extent to which it might have contributed to the development of a regional sense of identity and a regional approach to a broader range of issues.
Part I of the conference, offering "Business and Official Perspectives" on NAFTA and North American regionalism, took place on 10 November. The second part of this conference, offering further contextualization and analysis of the North American regional project, followed on Friday, 28 November.
