The Agenda2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals crafted by the UN in September 2015 was agreed by all countries in the world. The 17 goals are universal in application and pose a challenge for both developing and developed countries. The outcome of the December 2015 COP21 conference on Climate Change in Paris will also have a major impact on international cooperation and development.

Europe has worked hard to contribute to these important international agreements, but it is now confronted with its own problems ranging from security, large flows of migration, mounting debts, etc. Can Europe deliver on its developmental and environmental pledges? Should Europe’s policy on development and cooperation be reconsidered?  A distinguished set of panellists will debate these questions.
