Ana-Diamond Aaba Atach, known as Ana Diamond, is the Alistair Horne Visiting Fellow for 2024-2025.


Born in Iran and raised in London, UK, Ana-Diamond is a British social scientist and award-winning writer. Her work, particularly in advocating for women’s rights in the Middle East, has been highlighted by major media outlets such as BBC, CNN, The New York Times, The Guardian, and others. Her literary contributions have been recognised by Merky Books, Penguin Random House, the London Library, Spread the Word, the Arvon Foundation, Berlin Writer’s workshop, as well as Stanford Creative Writing workshop. 

Ana-Diamond holds an MPhil from Balliol College, Oxford, and a BA (Hons) from King’s College London, where she also studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara, as an exchange student. In 2019, she was elected an Associate of King’s College (AKC) by the University’s Academic Board.

At St Antony’s College, Oxford, she is writing a non-fiction feminist work that delves into Iran’s tumultuous history, tracing over two centuries of defiance through the personal and powerful stories of its women.
