Dr MariaLuisa Langella is the Middle East Centre Librarian, received a Laurea in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the Oriental Institute in Naples, Italy, an MSt in Hebrew and Jewish Studies from the University of Oxford, and a PhD with distinction in Arabic sociolinguistics from the University of Aix-Marseille in France. Prior to coming to St Antony’s in 2016 she held library positions in Islamic and Hebrew studies in Oxford and taught Arabic in France and Italy.
