Dr. Nussaibah Younis is an Associate Fellow at Chatham House and an expert on the economy, politics, and foreign policy of Iraq. She serves as a senior adviser to the European Institute on Peace where she advises on high level mediation efforts in Iraq, and she is a member of the Senior Common Room at St Antony’s College, Oxford University. She previously directed the Task Force on the Future of Iraq, which was chaired by Ambassador Ryan Crocker, in her role as a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council in Washington DC. Prior to this she was an International Security Program fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. 

Dr Younis is a recognized authority on Iraqi affairs, and regularly publishes policy-briefs, articles on Iraq and its neighbours, in addition to providing media commentary and private briefings. Her academic research focuses on the impact of Iraqi state weakness on foreign policy.
