Taiwan Studies Programme

The Taiwan Studies Programme at St Antony’s College has a longstanding track record of organising high-quality academic events to promote the area of Taiwan Studies broadly defined. To continuously run a dynamic academic programme on Taiwan at Oxford, we organise a variety of Taiwan-specific academic activities in the areas of research and teaching. These include regular seminar series, occasional high-profile public lectures, cultural events, and annual international conferences. From the 2013-2014 academic year, we introduced the first postgraduate course on Cross-Strait relations at the University of Oxford, an option course for an MA programme on contemporary China. We are also keen on exploring concrete ways to institutionalise visiting scholars programme in order to attract excellent Taiwanese academics to work at Oxford for their research and publication projects.
