Here at St Antony’s College, we promote healthy, sustainable and delicious food for our entire community of academic fellows, students, staff and friends of the College. Our guests include world-renowned scholars, business people, politicians and government officials.
We pride ourselves on our food offering, and our food pricing remains competitive. As such it keeps us busy. We have a healthy mixture of servery-style lunch and dinners combined with large formal fine-dining dinners of up to 300 covers per sitting, although most typically it’s around 160. We also host a multitude of bespoke events and BBQ’s. A perfect environment to contribute and develop!
We are a very busy kitchen during term-time (there are three terms per year and each term is ten weeks long), but even during the busy weeks, you can expect to finish your evening shift by 9.30pm. During term-time, there is an occasional requirement to work Saturday evenings and it is unlikely that you would work on Sundays.
We offer a generous holiday entitlement (41 days per year including bank holidays). The kitchen closes over Christmas, Easter and for two weeks in the summer and you would always be able to take holiday at this time. Staff enjoy free meals in College during normal working hours and when the Hall is open. Our kitchen staff are provided with laundered uniform and we have free on-site parking. St Antony’s College, Oxford is just a 10-minute walk from the city centre, and is close to the University Parks, Port Meadow, Jericho and Summertown.
St Antony’s College is an equal opportunities employer.
