The Rev Dr Humphrey Fisher (1933-2019)
The Rev Dr Humphrey Fisher (DPhil History, 1957) has passed away. A specialist in religion in sub-Saharan Africa, he wrote his DPhil thesis at St Antony’s on the Ahmaddiya of West Africa. He worked on religious conversion, slavery, the Sahel and the Sudan belt.
