High Table Booking

This page is for current College Members who are eligible to attend High Table or Guest Night.

Alumni are invited to attend one complimentary High Table each academic year, which must be booked using the Alumni High Table Booking Form. Students are not eligible to attend unless invited as guests.

Current College Members – How to Book

College Members who are eligible to attend a High Table or Guest Night dinner should click the link for the relevant date in the table below and complete the booking form.  A separate form is required for each attendee. Booking typically opens at least two weeks before each term. Michaelmas Term bookings will be available from mid-September. You must have a University Single Sign-On (SSO) in order to make a booking for yourself and any guests.

Bookings close four working days ahead of each dinner and this deadline is strictly adhered to:

After the deadline, it is not possible to cancel or amend a booking. The dinner will be charged at the price listed on the booking form, even if you do not attend.

Formal dinner procedures

All formal dinners are served at 7.30pm. High Table takes place in the Dining Hall, while Guest Night dinners are served in the New Fellows’ Dining Room.

The normal dress code is jacket and tie or equivalent, and hosts are asked to inform their guest(s) of this.

The College grace is spoken at the start and end of the meal. At the beginning of the meal, the grace is ‘Benedictus benedicat’ and at the end of the meal it is ‘Benedicto benedicatur’.

Guest Nights are slightly less formal than High Table. These consist of a formal three-course dinner and there is no second dessert.
