Originally from Norway, Inga has spent over 15 years studying and working internationally, including in the United States, Rwanda and Lebanon. She completed a DPhil in Education at St Antony’s College in 2022, examining how global policy frameworks shape higher education opportunities for refugees in Rwanda. During her DPhil, she also consulted for UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) and contributed to research on the global governance of education in the Global South.
Inga is now an associate professor of education at NLA University College in Bergen. Her research and teaching focus on refugee education, with additional interests in trauma-informed pedagogy, morality in times of crisis, and sustainability education. She leads the master’s programme in general education and the research cluster ‘Existence and Education’, which explores philosophical and existential perspectives on education for marginalised groups.
