Dr Leila Alieva: ‘NATO at 75’ involvement plus article podcast
The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) celebrated its 75th Anniversary at the Washington Summit from 9 to 11 July. With the introduction of the strategic concept in Madrid in 2022, and its implementation in Vilnius in 2023, this summer, 32 allies were expected to reaffirm their unwavering support for Ukraine and decide on the country’s future membership in the Alliance. They were also expected to step up their commitment to strengthen deterrence and defence, encourage long-term investment in defence production and expand global partnerships. Dr Leila Alieva spoke.
