University of Oxford Teaching Excellence Awards

St Antony’s College is delighted to congratulate two members of our academic community who have been recognised in the University of Oxford Social Sciences Division Teaching Excellence Awards 2026.

Dr Felipe Krause, Departmental Lecturer in Latin American Studies at the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA), and Dr Jin-ho Chung, Departmental Lecturer in Development Studies at the Oxford Department of International Development (ODID), are among this year’s award recipients. Dr Krause is Course Director at the Latin American Centre, one of the St Antony’s Regional Study Centres, and Dr Chung is a College Advisor.

The annual Teaching Excellence Awards celebrate colleagues across the Social Sciences Division who have made outstanding contributions to teaching, learning and the academic development of students. Open to academic staff at all career stages, the awards recognise excellence in education, innovative teaching practices and dedication to supporting students throughout their studies.

This year’s awards recognise colleagues from across the Division’s departments and faculties whose teaching has had a significant impact on the student experience. In announcing the awards, Professor Timothy Power, Head of the Social Sciences Division, said: ‘The Teaching Excellence Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding work of our colleagues and their dedication to innovation in education. It is wonderful to see such a variety of activity across our departments, and in particular to recognise exceptional teaching across a range of career stages.’

Everyone at St Antony’s warmly congratulates Dr Krause and Dr Chung on this well-deserved recognition.
