Mr Sidney Huang

Sidney Huang has been an Academic Visitor at St Antony’s College of Oxford University since October 2021. He is interested in the evolving issues in geoeconomics particularly in relation to China and the developed markets in Europe and the United States.

Sidney has 25 years of experience in technology and financial industries. Currently he is a senior advisor of JD.com, a Nasdaq-listed e-commerce company in China, and was its chief financial officer from 2013 until his retirement in September 2020. He also serves on the boards of Kuaishou Technology, a HKEX-listed content community and social network company, and Yatsen Holding, an NYSE-listed cosmetics and skincare company. Prior to JD.com, Sidney was the Co-President of VanceInfo Technologies, an IT services and outsourcing company in China.

Prior to 2004, Sidney spent 12 years in the United States, lastly as an investment banker at Citigroup Global Markets in New York. He earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University as an Austin Scholar and received his BBA from Bernard M. Baruch College in New York, where he graduated as class valedictorian.
