Conferences and Events

As a conference or meeting venue, St Antony’s offers the state-of-the-art facilities in a lively graduate college environment, at a stone’s throw away from Oxford’s historic attractions.

The Nissan Lecture Theatre offers the latest AV equipment and tiered seating for up to 147 people – perfect for a lecture. The Investcorp Auditorium is a slightly smaller lecture space, seating up to 117 delegates. A selection of smaller meeting rooms provide unique venues for intimate round tables and breakout rooms.

We can tailor a wide variety of facilities to suit your needs, and offer a range of delicious catering options, from a simple working sandwich lunch to elegant canapes, or a festive gala dinner in our Dining Hall.

For residential conferences, we offer a mix of modern, single, en-suite bedrooms, as well as the more traditional single college room with shared bathroom facilities.

Nissan Lecture Theatre

The Nissan Lecture Theatre is a fully-equipped tiered Lecture Theatre. As the largest venue on offer at St Antony’s it is used for seminars and conferences, and has at times played host to some very high profile events at the College.

The room has full audio-visual facilities and full wireless internet access. The room also has wheelchair accessibility from the rear and front of the lecture theatre and designated wheelchair seating.

The room is available throughout term time and the vacation period and is suitable for a maximum of 147 guests in tiered seating.

Investcorp Auditorium

The impressive Investcorp Building stands out as the most modern of the architecture at St Antony’s. Designed by the internationally renowned architect Dame Zaha Hadid, and opened by her in May 2015, the Investcorp has become an iconic extension to the Middle East Centre.

The Investcorp Auditorium, located in the basement of the building provides a sleek, modern, state-of-the-art lecture theatre providing seating for up to 117 delegates. It is fully equipped with customisable lighting and AV facilities. The open plan Gallery on the ground floor creates an excellent space for guest registrations, exhibitions and refreshment breaks. The Investcorp Auditorium is accessible by lift.

Pavilion Room

The Pavilion is a light, large and spacious room, located on the fourth floor of the Gateway Building, one of our residential blocks. It is perhaps the most popular room in the College due to its unusual views and tree-top location above the leafy and residential area of North Oxford. The Pavilion has a wide variety of functionalities and may be used for various events such as receptions, meetings and seminars. The room can also be divided into two smaller rooms seating 10 boardroom style on each side. The room has full wheelchair accessibility and AV facilities.

The room is available throughout term time and the vacation period and is suitable for a maximum of 70 guests in theatre style or 40 guests in boardroom style.

Syndicate Room

The Syndicate Room is a medium sized conference room, located in the Old Main Building. The room has full AV facilities and can seat up to 26 around a boardroom table, or 50 in theatre style. This space is accessible to those using wheelchairs.

Dahrendorf Room

The Dahrendorf is a ground-floor room within the Founder’s Building residential block. It is suitable for small lectures and board meetings up to 40 guests. The room has full wheelchair accessibility and portable AV facilities. The Dahrendorf can also be divided into two smaller rooms seating 20 in boardroom style on each side. 

The room is available throughout term time and the vacation period and is suitable for a maximum of 60 guests in theatre style.

Deakin Room

The Deakin is a ground-floor room within the Founder’s Building residential block. It is suitable for small meetings of up to 20 guests. The room has full wheelchair accessibility and portable audio-visual facilities.

Gateway Boardroom

The Gateway Boardroom is a light and medium sized room, located on the fourth floor of the Ghassan Shaker Building, one of our residential blocks. It is a very popular room in the College due to its unusual views and tree-top location above the leafy and residential area of North Oxford. The Gateway Boardroom is suitable for meetings and small seminars.

The room is available throughout term time and the vacation period and is suitable for a maximum of 20 guests in boardroom style.

Old Fellows Dining room

The OFDR can be used for both conferences, seminars. dinners and drinks receptions.

The room can fit 30 in boardroom.

New Fellows Dining room

The NFDR is a new addition to the Hilda Besse Building and can be booked for private dinners.

The room van fit 32 on one long table or up to 50 in two long tables.
