Adeel Malik is Globe Fellow in the Economies of Muslim Societies at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies and Associate Professor at the Oxford Department of International Development, University of Oxford. A development economist with strong multi-disciplinary orientation, he teaches and researches on issues of Middle Eastern political economy. His most recent contribution to the field was a co-edited volume on Crony Capitalism in the Middle East: Business and Politics from Liberalization to the Arab Spring (OUP 2019).
