BOOK PRESENTATION/PANEL DISCUSSION

The EU as a State-builder in International Affairs: The Case of Kosovo

This book presents a systematic, in-depth, and comparative analysis of the role of the EU in the process of international state-building and is one of the first comprehensive books to do so at an international level. Taking the case of Kosovo, it examines the EU's role in the birth of a state in comparison to other international actors from 1999 to 2008 and moves on to analyse the EU's role in norm diffusion in the post-independence period (2008–2020).

Labinot Greiçevci is Executive Director at the Research Institute of Development and European Affairs (RIDEA), and Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Political Science at the UBT College, Kosovo.

Associate Professor Dr Belina Budini is a researcher and lecturer, currently holding the position of the Head of Department of Humanities and Communication at the European University of Tirana in Albania. She leads the communication research group at the Doctoral Studies School and her work in the area of political communication, media studies and journalism has been published and incited public discussion in the field of the media and political studies, but also in the national mainstream media.
