Antonian awarded prestigious MCSA Global Fellowship
Dr Susann Kassem (Associate Member, 2018-2024) has been awarded the highly competitive MCSA Global Fellowship. She will carry out her project, titled ‘Contesting Colonial Borders: Spatial Ordering and Political Subjectivity in South Lebanon’, under the supervision of Professor Matteo Legrenzi (MPhil Modern Middle East Studies and DPhil International Relations, 1995) and Assistant Professor Umut Yildirim at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and at the Geneva Graduate Institute. The ground-breaking project is topical and policy relevant as it investigates the current boundary contestations in a long-term analysis and history of empire and colonialism in the region.
