DPhil student publishes paper in Noema

Current DPhil student Ben Bariach has published a paper in Noema Magazine.

Titled When AI & Human Worlds Collide, the paper explores questions around world models, knowledge and society, and draws on Ben’s ongoing research into the philosophy and governance of Frontier AI.

Noema is an international magazine published by the Berggruen Institute, featuring long-form content on the transformations and the most pressing challenges of the 21st century.

Ben is a part-time DPhil student with the Oxford Internet Institute, researching the ethics and governance of agentic artificial intelligence.

In his professional career, Ben is an AI safety expert with over a decade of experience in the field. He has authored and contributed to publications at the intersection of AI, philosophy and governance.
