Professor Neil Ketchley announced as 2024 Fred Halliday Award winner

Middle East Centre Fellow and Professor of Politics at Department of Politics and International Relations, Neil Ketchley has won the 2024 Fred Halliday Award for his work on collective protest and mass mobilization.

The Fred Halliday Award is made by the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals every year to recognise an outstanding mid-career researcher of the Middle East. The award is made in honour of the late writer and academic, Fred Halliday, and his contributions to the field of international relations.

Professor Ketchley will give the keynote address at the annual Barcelona Summer School of the Mediterranean and Middle East later this year, as part of the award.
