SAIH Seminar Series Convenor Appointed to Government of Punjab Technical Committee
Congratulations to Abraham Murad, DPhil Candidate in History and Lead Co-Convenor of the South Asian Intellectual History Seminar Series at the Asian Studies Centre on his appointment as a Member of the High-Level Technical Committee within the Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Department, Government of the Punjab, Pakistan.
Chaired by the Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, the Committee has been mandated to develop a comprehensive legal and policy framework for safeguarding minority communities across Punjab.
In this role, Abraham will contribute to the Committee’s work in reviewing existing legal and constitutional provisions and supporting the development of a coherent reform framework. We are delighted to see members of our academic community contributing their expertise to important policy initiatives of this kind.
