St Antony’s student interviewed by Korean Broadcasting System

St Antony’s student Yoonki Lee (MPhil International Relations) was interviewed on a radio programme with the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS). Lee was invited on the programme in the summer following his success at the Entente Cordiale Day Challenge, where he and two fellow St Antony’s students won first place, earning the King Edward VII Prize.

In the interview, Lee discussed his studies and student life at St Antony’s College and how practicing the piano at the College has helped him relax during term time. He also reflected on his experience representing Oxford and winning the King Edward VII Prize at the inaugural Entente Cordiale University Challenge competition with two friends from St Antony’s and shared words of encouragement for students and aspiring young scholars in South Korea. Lee comments that ‘it was an honour to be featured on a radio programme by South Korea’s largest public service broadcaster’, describing the experience as an ‘exciting and memorable’ one.

He states that ‘I never imagined I would appear on national radio to talk about my experiences studying at Oxford and St Antony’s, so I was truly grateful for this special opportunity. I hoped that my story might inspire other students in South Korea to take on new challenges and show initiative in pursuing their goals’.
