The 75th Anniversary Collection
As part of St Antony’s College’s 75th anniversary celebrations, we’re creating a digital showcase of memories from across the decades. It will be a vibrant, community-built, tribute to the people, places, and moments that have shaped our story – and we need your help!
We’re inviting Antonians past and present to share photos, videos, and written reflections that capture the spirit of College life. The content is up to you! You could submit photos with friends in the dining hall, scanned tickets and menus from events, or even just some written recollections that are important to you. We’re looking for the everyday moments experienced by the Antonian community, as well as memories of our big events.
Please note that we can only accept digital submissions for the 75th Anniversary Collection. Submissions will only be accepted through the form below.
What should I submit?
There’s no single way to capture the spirit of St Antony’s, because every Antonian has their own memories. We’re inviting you to share the ones that mean something to you.
Your submission might include:
- Photos of friends: laughing over dinner in the Hilda Besse, late-night study sessions, or lounging in the Quad
- Moments of tradition: matriculation, graduation, or your first day at College
- Clips from events: College Balls, speaker evenings, celebrations, performances, society dinners
- Snippets of everyday life: written or recorded accounts of coffee breaks in the Buttery, hard work in the Library, a snapshot of your College room
- Stories about unforgettable characters: a tutor who changed your thinking, the Warden you won’t forget, a friend who brought life to the College, or a staff member whose warmth stayed with you
- Photos of objects and keepsakes (and the memories that come with them)
- Written or spoken memories: funny stories, moving moments, milestones and mischief. A paragraph or two is plenty, or send more in a document if you’d like
We’re accepting photographs, videos, written recollections and audio recordings. Anything you submit must be in one of those formats. The accepted file types are listed in the form below.
What will happen to my submission?
We will process the personal data you submit in line with our Privacy Policy. This includes your email address, which we may use to contact you about your submission.
Submissions will be reviewed by the Communications Manager and College Archivist. While we will do our best to make sure all submissions are recorded in the 75th Anniversary Collection, we cannot guarantee that all submissions will be used in the public digital showcase.
All submissions will be preserved permanently in the College Archive under the lawful basis of archiving in the public interest in accordance with data protection legislation.
Please note: We can only accept digital materials. All submissions will be reviewed, and not all will be featured in the 75th Anniversary Collection on the College website.
Your contribution will help us celebrate the rich, diverse experiences that define St Antony’s. We will celebrate our past as we build our future. These memories, big and small, are the moments that make history.
If you are submitting content on behalf of someone else (with their full permission), please use their details in the form (for example their relationship to St Antony’s and years of attendance) so we can provide accurate details alongside their memories.
