Maintenance Administrator

The Maintenance Administrator provides administrative support to day-to-day maintenance activities across the College’s facilities. The role involves handling appropriate maintenance administration, monitoring and passing on maintenance requests, and communicating with students, academics and College staff about maintenance work. The post holder is also responsible for administrative work relating to health and safety for the department, and is the point of contact for external contractors – providing induction information to ensure they follow the College’s procedures and site protocols.  

To be successful in your application, you will need to have previous experience in an administrative role, along with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a wide range of people. The successful candidate will be a proactive team player, with the ability to provide excellent customer service. Good IT skills, strong attention to detail, and a flexible and cooperative approach to the role will be essential.

The Maintenance Team is pivotal to our service delivery for our community, including students and senior academic colleagues as well as operational and administrative staff. The team is based on the site at St Antony’s College, Woodstock Road, Oxford but also maintains other College properties (all currently adjacent to the main College site, or within less than 10 minutes’ walking distance).

The Maintenance Administrator will be paid on the University grade 4 scale, currently £13,169 – £14,979.50 gross p.a. (£26,338 – £29,959 FTE) plus £750 Oxford weighting (£1,500 FTE). There is a probationary period of three months.
