Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

As a global community, St Antony’s is committed to fostering an inclusive culture that promotes equality, values diversity, and maintains a working, learning, and social environment in which the rights and dignity of all members of the College community are respected.

Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) feature highly in our strategic priorities for 2024-27, including in our family friendly approach, in our scholarship fundraising campaign, and our EDI training. We are also improving the quantitative data we hold about the diversity of our community and using regular student and staff surveys to inform our understanding of our community’s experience. We aim to build on work to date during 2024/25 and beyond, and we welcome comments of feedback from members of our community.

We have an external EDI Advisory Board, established in 2020/21 in the wake of the Black Lives Matter and Rhodes Must Fall protests of the summer of 2020. It is chaired by Professor Anand Menon (Professor of European Politics, King’s College, London), and includes Professor Abena Busia on its membership. We are currently refreshing the Board following the departure of two members and will update membership here in due course.
