Steven S K Kwok

Steven S K Kwok read MPhil in European Politics & Society/MLitt in Politics at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford and matriculated in 1995.

For the University of Oxford, Steven has acted as Liaison Officer for China (Hong Kong) at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford since September 2021. He also acted as the last Country Champion (Hong Kong) for the Oxford Education Society of the University of Oxford Department of Education from 2014-2017.

Steven is keen to organize two or more events per year for fellow Antonians in Hong Kong/China. In 2023, he organized two Antonian Dinners, apart from a few smaller events, for fellow Antonians in Hong Kong. In 2024, on 17 April, he organized a “very successful,” big alumni reunion in Hong Kong for 33 fellow Antonians, including Warden Professor Roger Goodman and Development Director Wouter te Kloeze, and on 22 August, he will also organize an Antonian Dinner-cum-farewell party in Hong Kong.

With an MA in Political Science (USA), a master’s degree in business and management (Australia), and an MA in Applied Linguistics (Hong Kong), a Trinity College London Certificate in TESOL, and an Oxford University postgraduate education, Steven is an experienced, professional, and dedicated Academic/Business/Workplace English lecturer, IELTS trainer, and Exam and Academic Skills coach since 2011, and also a seasoned lecturer in Business and Management, General Education, and Social Sciences since 2003, in Hong Kong.

Steven has also worked as a research manager/officer at the Hong Kong SAR Government, The University of Hong Kong, CUHK School of Continuing and Professional Studies, and former Hong Kong Institute of Education. In addition, he has worked as an Executive Officer (Internationalization) at PolyU School of Design, Communications Manager, Project Officer, and Education Counsellor all at the tertiary level.

For the School of Business at Woxsen University, India, Steven has worked as an Adjunct Professor, conducting research/consultancy/projects, teaching courses, etc. since July 2022.

For another one of his alma maters, The New School, in New York City, USA, Steven is the Founder of The New School/Parsons School of Design Alumni Community in Hong Kong and was the Founding Chair of The New School/Parsons School of Design Alumni Community Council in Hong Kong from 2022-23. (Parsons School of Design is the best design school in the USA and no. 3 in the world.)

Steven has studied and lived in New York City, Oxford, London, Berlin/Germany, and his hometown of Hong Kong.
