Alumnus Professor Huck-ju Kwon announced as first Korean to be elected to the British Academy of Social Sciences
We are pleased to share news that alumnus, Professor Huck-ju Kwon, has been announced as the first Korean to be elected to the British Academy of Social Sciences.
The British Academy of Social Sciences is one of the leading academic academies in the world of social sciences. Professor Kwon, who graduated from Seoul National University’s Department of Political Science, earned a doctorate in political science from Oxford University, and became a professor at Seoul National University’s Graduate School of Public Administration in 2008. He served as president of the International Development Cooperation Society and as a member of the Government Performance Evaluation Committee. Professor Kwon said, “I am honored to be recognized for the results of my efforts in academia for over 30 years.”
