The Assistant Accountant is responsible for billing and debt management for students and other College members, providing support during financial year end, and management reporting and accounting for the College’s IT Support Shared Service company.
Over the coming 18-months, St Antony’s College will be replacing its current accounting software. This fixed-term role will provide additional support within the Accounts team throughout this process.
To be successful in your application, you will need to have substantial experience of debt management processes and procedures, and of using at least one computerised accounting package. You will have an understanding of basic book-keeping principles, an ability to analyse and understand book-keeping and accounting processes, and experience of producing financial management information. The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic and positive approach, with the ability to interact well with a wide variety of people from diverse backgrounds. Strong Excel skills, excellent accuracy and attention to detail, and good written communication skills will be essential.
Working at St Antony’s College
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week) for a fixed-term of 18 months.
The Assistant Accountant will be paid on the University grade 6 scale, currently £33,482 – £39,355 gross p.a. plus £1,500 gross p.a. Oxford weighting. There is a probationary period of three months.
