User Accounts

As a member of the college you will have access to two different accounts.

1. Single Sign On (SSO) account

This is the main University account, with it you are able to access resources such as your University email account (Nexus365), download free anti-virus software and it will be used to set up your remote access account.

You can manage your SSO account from here:

For further information regarding the services your SSO account grants you access to please visit here:

2. Remote Access “WiFi / VPN” account

For access to the eduroam wireless network and connecting your own device to the University network when you are away from Oxford via VPN you can register for remote access via:

For instructions on how to connect your device to eduroam please visit:

3. MFA (Multi Factor Authentication)

There can be many reasons why you may lose access to your MFA:

Please note: If your device is unusable, you will need to have an alternative phone in order to add your MFA again (this cannot be a borrowed phone)

Unfortunately you will not be able to access any of the University’s services without verifying your MFA, the IT team are not able to turn this off due to security reasons. Please contact us via the Service Desk and notify us of your availability so that your MFA account can be reset. Please note, we have to verify details with you for security reasons before we reset your account, this can be done via Microsoft Teams.
